Virgin Media looking forward to new STB’s

May 27, 2010

Virgin Media are hoping that its new set top boxes that offer the TiVo service will be launched by the end of the year.

According to a Virgin Media spokesperson, these new set top boxes are set to change the way that UK viewer watches TV by being able to access a wider range of entertainment from different sources.

TiVo digital recorders are very popular in the US where the company is based; the system allows the user to easily navigate through the on demand services as well as the Virgin Media TV service.

The cable provider believes that these new set top boxes will be better for users than the current V+ set top box that the company is currently providing to its subscribers.

I sincerely hope that this goes ahead. We have been delaying replacing our Sony PVR in the hope of recreating the great experience of our old TiVo (which is still sitting under the TV but not used).

Come one Virgin Media please get this right and out soon
