The satellite operator BSkyB has launched two new broadband packages that offer the consumer the choice of either free broadband or unlimited broadband.

The new Everyday Lite Package will be free for consumers on the local loop unbundled (LLU) and who subscribe to one of the satellite TV and phone packages, it comes with a connection of up to 20 Mbps, but does have a 2 GB monthly download limit.

Sky have also cut the price of its unlimited broadband package, it will now cost £7.50 per month, which is down from £10 per month.
