Google’s browser Chrome continues to slowly make its way up the market share table to 7.1 per cent of the market, with both Windows Internet Explorer and Mozilla’s Firefox browsers losing some ground in the market.

Despite the dominance of Windows Internet Explorer in the past, IE’s market share is gradually being eaten into, with it now holding under 60 per cent of the market share.

The break in market share is as follows:

Microsoft’s Internet Explorer fell by 0.3 per cent to 59.7 per cent,
Mozilla’s Firefox fell by 0.2 per cent points to 24.4 per cent,
Google Chrome OS rose by 0.3 per cent to 7.1 per cent,
Safari from Apple rose by 0.1 per cent to 4.8 per cent
Opera rose by 0.1 per cent to 2.4 per cent.
