In the wake of Google TV, it was expected that Steve Jobs would be talking it down, and in the “All things D” interview he did not let anyone down.
In fact, according to Steve Jobs, the likes of Sky TV and Virgin Media have the digital TV market sewn up, because they are willing to give set top boxes away. It is hard for a manufacturer to compete with.
As for the Apple TV, he called this a hobby, but how many times has Steve Jobs stated that Apple is not working on certain projects such as the iPhone and iPad.
It is hard to read between the lines are what Steve Jobs says, he is so clever in avoidance, yet with Google TV entering the home, could Apple resist that challenge?
