by David Allen

The satellite and broadband provider BSkyB will be launching the much anticipated video on demand service, Sky Anytime Plus, before the end of the year.

Currently Sky Anytime offers a limited amount of content and special advance screenings of film premieres, but this new service will offer more, in fact around five hundred films and hundreds of hours of television content.

According to BSkyB, the new service will be free to all subscribers of Sky HD, but it seems that this service will only be available to subscribers of Sky+ HD and who are a customer of Sky Broadband too!

For those customers who qualify Sky Anytime Plus will be available through the Sky+ HD set top box electronic programme guide (EPG) by pressing the red button.
