Chinese mobile manufacturer Huawei is to introduce the first phone bearing its brand name to the UK.
Although the company has previously made handsets for other firms to stick their own labels on in this country (such as T-Mobile’s Pulse).
The G7002 is notable because it’s a low spec effort and a very cheap touchscreen phone.
The handset comprises of a 2.4 inch touchscreen, 1.3 megapixel camera, 2MB of memory and an FM radio.
It will carry 2G, so as you can see, the specification isn’t anything to send a postcard home about.
Yet if you want to get your fingertips on a very cheap touchscreen, you probably won’t find one more suitably budget oriented than this.
The G7002 will go on sale with O2 soon, and will cost just £40 on PAYG.
