Cellcast makes a loss

One of the leading providers of interactive TV programming, Cellcast, have reported a pre tax loss for the year of just over £1.8 million.

This compares to a profit of £179,000 for the previous year.

However, revenues for the year were actually up by 5.1 per cent at £16.8 million, most of the revenues generated by the company comes from UK operations.

During the past twelve months, Cellcast have been investing heavily in more distribution channels on the free to view digital TV services, Freesat and Freeview.

According to a Cellcast spokesperson, the company continue to invest in the future development of digital TV in the UK; it is believed that the company are laying down foundations for a solid future and to add value to the company.
