Google offers changeable homepage

June 5, 2010

Over the years, the Google homepage has been known for its minimalist look and feel, but this is about to change when the search giant introduces a brand new customisation tool that will allows users to upload an image and set it as a background.

The immediate thought is “Bing” the Microsoft run search engine that carries interesting background images, but Google will say that this is customisable and image can be chosen from one on the computer or from the Picasa web based albums.

This will be launched in the US first of all, Google users will see a customisable button in the bottom left hand corner of the Google Search Homepage, and it will be showing up on the international sites at some point in the future.
