The interactive TV gaming company NetPlay has reported an increase in revenues, but profits are down for the year.

The company showed an increase of ten per cent in revenues to £21.6 million but after taking into consideration the earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) the company posted a loss of £0.85 million.

NetPlay now have airtime contracts in place with Sky TV, Virgin Media TV, Five and ITV1 following the regulator Ofcom, opening up the market to allow terrestrial channels to show live gabbling gaming shows.

For NetPlay the mobile gaming market could prove to be a major source of revenues to add to its current TV and internet platforms, it is still early days and the company have had to invest £1.2 million in new studio facilities.
