ITV have been searching for a commercial and online expert, the company seem to have the answer to their requirements in the former GCap Media boss, Fru Hazlitt.

Fru Hazlitt will now become the managing director of ITV’s commercial and online division when she joins the company on the 2nd August.

This is a new role within the ITV organisation, which combines two key roles, the airtime business and the online business, as well as the interactive side of ITV. This follows the departure of Rupert Howell and Ben McOwen.

Having gained experience with Yahoo! and Virgin Media, Fru Hazlitt the new position is an ideal fit. These changes follow the release of the ITV strategic review completed by the new chief executive of ITV, Adam Crozier.
