The Google operating system Android is popping up in all sorts of places including smartphones, tablets and even set top boxes, like the Bonux digital television set top box.
What this means for the user is that what they see on the screen of their television will be run by Google Android, which has the appearance of an older style small phone screen with icons representing tasks and applications.
So really this is a bit dated and may not be exactly what the user expects or indeed demands from the latest technology.
However, a good point is that the device uses the ARM based processor, which is well known for being able to run on low power.
The Bonux set top box is expected to go on sale towards the end of the year.
