Sony 3D range launch today

Sony will be launching its range of 3D televisions today, with the Bravia LED KDL KX803 as the entry level television with a price tag of around £1,800.

However, unlike other versions, this price will not include any glasses or even a 3D transmitter.

The glasses designed for use with the television are expected to be priced at around £100 per pair, so it is clear how fast the price of a 3D set-up can rise from the basic price to a much higher final price, with all of the extras.

The 3D TV will come in a choice of two sizes, 40 inch and 46 inch.

It will also include a built in Freeview HD tuner and can connect to the internet access catch up TV services.
