Three UK, which launched its MiFi wireless hotspot last year, has been listening to its customers and has incorporated some of their suggestions in the second generation of the device.

The MiFi, a battery-powered Huawei E585 Wi-Fi router, can be accessed by up to five wireless-enabled devices simultaneously.

Three has worked with Huawei on the latest version, which can be launched with the press of one button and offers improved battery life and faster charging.

The upgraded OLED screen displays data usage, as well as connection speed and duration, while the online dashboard now works across Windows, Mac and Linux devices.

The next-gen Three MiFi should be available next month, costing £49.99 for pay as you go mobile broadband customers.
