Vizio, a US-based consumer electronics company, has announced three WiFi-equipped Blu-ray players and a dual-band HD router, which uses the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands to maximise speed and range across all types of media and data

The XWR100 router will prioritise HD media streamed to the latest Blu-ray players and other VIA-enabled devices.

VIA (Vizio Internet Apps) wirelessly delivers on-demand movies, music and other media from services such as Vudu and Pandora.

The wireless router can also be configured to share a high-speed Internet connection to other Internet capable devices, including laptops, game consoles and smart phones.

The router will be available from the third quarter, priced at $99.99, while the three Blu-ray players will be available this summer for around $190.
