The UK-based provider of phone and broadband services BT, has announced that upgrades will be made to the iComms Unified Communication service.

This is a service that provides businesses with a selection of carrier based IP communications tools.

These are aimed at showing people how to make their business easier to communicate with, by utilising a wide variety of tools and services.

The service will be provided jointly by Genband and BT.

The system will be using the Genband carrier hosted service, which will allow BT in turn to provide IP and SIP services to its customers.

Upgraded services include, voice conference, web meetings and desktop sharing, as well as customised web portal services, allowing the businessperson to save the time and expense of face to face meetings.
