Five-O goes to Bravo

It has been a long time coming but finally the re-make of that icon of seventies’ television, Hawaii Five-O, is almost complete.

Once again the barriers between pay-TV and free-to-view TV will come into play, especially as terrestrial broadcasters such as the BBC and ITV are not likely to take a chance in the early days on a remake.

The UK premiere of Hawaii Five-O will take place on the Virgin Media TV channel Bravo, which means that once again terrestrial TV viewers and those with Freeview will not be seeing the new show.

Bravo acquired the exclusive UK TV rights for pay TV, digital rights and Freeview, although Bravo is not available on Freeview at the moment.

Hawaii Five-O will be launched in the autumn.
