BBC Two has officially been named as the home of BBC films and to celebrate this there will be a weekend of films taking place this month.

The BBC has been involved in the funding and production of a wide range of films and on the weekend of the 17th July the movie weekend will kick off with The Damned United starring Michael Sheen as the legendary Brian Clough.

The film charts the time when he was manager of Leeds United.

There will also be premieres for Is Anybody There and Eastern Promises, as well other films such as Notes on a Scandal and The History Boys.

Now that BBC Two is the home of film, the viewer will know where to go for good quality British made films.
