ITV slumps to all time low

July 5, 2010

It may have something to do with the World Cup and Wimbledon coverage, but ITV has seen its worst ratings ever and considering that the channel is fifty five years in September, this is not a figure to be proud of.

In fact when the ITV first started it was getting around 188,000 viewers, but last weekend, at one point it registered just 30,000 viewers for one programme.

Despite this worrying result, the broadcaster has actually been fairing well when it comes to viewer figures, which are all important when it comes to attracting valuable advertising revenues required by the broadcaster.

However, in contrast ITV recorded an audience of over twenty million for the opening England matches during the World Cup in South Africa.
