DTG looks into DTT delivery

July 6, 2010

The UK’s Digital TV Group (DTG) is launching a new consultation concerning the DTT platform and how it can fit in with the expansion of digital TV in the UK.

The consultation comes under the very long title of Delivering an Interoperable, Efficient, Stable and Innovating Horizontal Digital TV Market, however despite its serious title, this consultation will be open all interested parties.

DTG has been managing the digital TV service and in particular, Freeview for around ten years, but it is only in recent years that things have really started to change.

Connected TV is the platform that changes everything, as no longer will schedules and individual broadcasters command the airwaves.

It is these changes that the DTG wants to look into from an industry and a consumer point of view.
