T-Mobile price cut makes HTC Desire more desirable

T-Mobile has cut its pricing on the popular HTC Desire phone.

The move comes in the wake of the iPhone 4 launch, with the company evidently thinking the Desire needed something to keep it an attractive proposition.

A price cut to £30 per month (from £35) on a two year plan with the handset free should help do the trick. That comes with a not insubstantial 600 minutes, plus unlimited texts and Internet.

Whether or not that’s enough to tempt folks away from the iPhone 4 is another question. The Desire can’t stand up to the next-gen iPhone’s spec, but it’s not a million miles away.

And the HTC offering is certainly a cheaper proposition, with the handset free and a slightly more generous plan than the equivalent level iPhone 4 tariff.
