by David Allen

The UK-based set-top-box maker Pace, has won the contract to supply the African DTH provider, Multichoice, with second generation high definition set-top box equipment for the pay-TV market in Africa.

Multichoice is a multi-national pay-TV provider with a current customer base of around 2.4 million, but it has plans to reach out to many more areas to find more customers.

This is not the first time that Pace and Multichoice have got together as they have been partners in this business for almost fifteen years and when Multichoice decided to offer its first high definition TV service, it was Pace which provided the set-top boxes in 2008.

Since those early HD days, Pace has offered invaluable help and advice on delivering the service to a wide audience.
