Five HD launches on Virgin Media

There may be a lot going on within the walls of the terrestrial TV channel Five, but life outside grinds on and no matter what the situation is within Five, the channel has to continue moving forward.

It is already known that Five HD is on Sky TV and that there is a possibility that the high definition version of the channel could be heading for Freeview sometime next year.

However, in a surprise announcement, Five HD is now available to subscribers of Virgin Media HD.

The channel joins thirteen other channels already established on the Virgin Media EPG and there are plans to expand this even further to around twenty channels by the end of the summer.

This is not going to harm the channel’s owner RTL’s efforts to sell Five either.

  1. i hardly ever watch channel 5 as i think there are lots of better channels (cbeebies, cbbc, gospel channel etc)
BUT as it is on sky hd then i may tune in now and then as they do sometimes have good films on,
so it can only make things better for channel 5
