Firefox Home iPhone app approved by Apple

Mozilla’s Firefox Home app is now available to download on the Apple App Store, after being approved by the Cupertino based company.

The free app can be ensconced on your iPhone or iPod Touch, where it links up with your Firefox desktop browser history, bookmarks, and even the tabs you currently have open.

It syncs up the data from your desktop browser via the cloud in what Mozilla calls a secure manner. Note that this doesn’t mean you’ll have the Firefox browser on your iPhone, just that you can open and view the relevant tabs and access bookmarks.

The Mozilla Blog states: “You can view the sites you want directly in Firefox Home, open them in Mobile Safari or share them with friends via email. Your Firefox data is private and only you have access to it.”
