Mobile broadband revenues set to rocket

Over the next four years the revenue generated from mobile broadband it set to soar.

In fact it is being estimated that by 2014 the total amount of mobile broadband users is set to reach around 1.8 billion worldwide, that is over a quarter of all mobile phone users.

According to the telecom research firm, Infonetics Research, revenues went up by a massive 36 per cent during the last year bringing in a massive £675 billion in revenues for the mobile broadband providers.

The big marketplaces for mobile broadband are Africa, Europe and the Middle East, yet this figures also show that the average customer spend is actually down on the previous year, despite many users switching to prepaid mobile broadband.
