Dorset demands faster broadband

July 22, 2010

There are plenty of organisations around representing business and the public when it comes to faster and more reliable broadband services, such as the Dorset Chamber of Commerce & Industry, which is demanding faster broadband for the county.

To bolster its demands, the organisation has conducted a survey of businesses and found that the majority of businesses need faster broadband services, because currently they are getting speeds varying from 1 Mbps to 8 Mbps.

But more interestingly is the price that they are will have to pay.

Around £30 per month would be the maximum and so apart from ensuring that fibre is rolled in that area, it is possible to see why ISPs are not so keen to invest in fibre broadband outside of the main cities.
