Some retailers begin dropping the price of Microsoft’s Kinect

Yesterday Microsoft announced the official launch date for the Xbox 360’s motion control system in the UK.

And that date, should you need to pencil it into your diary, is November 10th. The recommended retail price is £130, with the device being bundled with one game, Kinect Adventures.

Already it seems that retailers are dropping the price and offering some level of discount on the peripheral. While major online outlets like Amazon still have it tagged at £130, IT Pro Portal reports that other sellers have knocked chunks off the price that many have complained is too dear.

The Hut has it pegged at £120 (with delivery included) and Zavvi.com is also offering Kinect with a tenner knocked off (again with free delivery).

Post Christmas, it’s a fair bet you’ll be able to get yourself “Kinected” for less than a hundred quid, we reckon, although as the CEO of Codemasters Rod Cousens suggested, that might be the asking price for the peripheral minus Kinect Adventures.
