It seems that the HTC Desire HD and the Desire Z smartphones are definitely in the pipeline.
Amazon recently put up listings for both phones, pricing them at £415 and £455 respectively, but pulled the product pages no sooner than they were up.
These could have been mere test pages, of course, but that seems very unlikely now another online retailer has put the handsets on its page. Mobiles.co.uk has both the Desire HD and Desire Z up, and hasn’t pulled either of them.
There’s no picture or price to accompany the listing, mind you, and it’s likely the Amazon prices may not be accurate (particularly for the Desire HD). All Mobiles.co.uk states in terms of release dates is that both of the phones are “coming soon”.
The HTC Desire HD, which may also be known as the Ace, boasts a chunky spec including a 4.3 inch display, an 8 megapixel camera (capable of 720p recording) and a 1GHz processor running Android 2.2.
The Desire Z seems to be the phone previously codenamed the Vision, which comes with a Qwerty keyboard. Mobiles.co.uk also has it down as having a 3.7 inch display, although only Android 2.1. We’ll pass on more details on both these models as and when we get them.
