Internet shoppers are taking advantage of the savings available on the web with Internet sales growing at their fastest ever rate last month.
UK shoppers spent £5bn online in July, according to the IMRG Capgemini e-Retail Sales Index.
This was 14% higher than online spending for June, and 18% higher than for July 2009 when the recession was biting hard.
At this rate of increase UK shoppers will be spending £600 billion online over the next ten years.
The index showed that retailers selling both online and in high street stores produced the best performance, with 18% revenue growth and a 4.49% sales conversion rate.
The July figures were helped by people booking holidays.
