Friday marks the release day for Apple’s magical tablet in China.

It’s a big market over there, obviously, and one that should help increase the global sales of the iPad by a not inconsiderable measure.

Analysts expect tablet sales for 2010 to hit between 11 and 13 million units, with the majority of these being the iPad.

The Chinese iPad is expected to sell well, even though as TG Daily reports, it will cost something like 20% more than it does in the States. The 64GB wi-fi version is priced at the equivalent of $830.

The 3G model would be even more expensive, except that for the time being, Apple is only releasing the wi-fi iPad over in the country. The company hasn’t said when the 3G version will be arriving in China.

Apple is planning more inroads into China, with designs to open some 25 new stores in the country by the end of 2011.
