It seems that a new phone from Acer will be arriving at the end of next month.
Electricpig.co.uk grabbed the exclusive scoop on this one, and the site claims it has talked to an Acer spokesperson who confirmed that the Liquid Metal is on its way.
It’s so named because the smartphone has a metal backplate, although presumably a solid rather than a melted (liquid) one.
The tech specs haven’t been confirmed by Acer, but the handset is expected to pitch up with a 3.6 inch touchscreen, an 800MHz processor, 512MB of memory, bluetooth and wi-fi. It will run Android 2.2.
If the launch date is indeed the end of October as anticipated, we should hear confirmation of the exact spec soon, along with an indication of pricing. Stay tuned.
