Sky solves Anytime problem

by Janet Harris

Sky customers had a problem with their Sky+ HD boxes either freezing up or going into standby mode, when they tried to open the Anytime service over the weekend.

Anytime records Sky programmes and movies overnight and stores them on the set-top box’s hard disc, ready to watch at a convenient time.

Sky stopped adding programmes to Anytime for its Sky+ HD customers until the technical issue was resolved, but is now restoring the service back to normal.

Standard definition Sky+ boxes were not affected by the problem.

Sky has apologised to Sky+ HD customers and has promised to broadcast the shows they missed out on as soon as possible.
