LG 72LEX9 is world’s largest LED backlit 3DTV

While it’s not the biggest 3DTV set in the world, the boffins at LG have just wheeled out the largest screen LED backlit model.

As you can probably guess from the name, the LG 72LEX9 features a 72 inch LED backlit screen boasting 480Hz TruMotion and a 10,000,000:1 contrast ratio. Web TV features are also on board.

No less than four HDMI ports and a USB port are provided on the connectivity front, but before you start sweating about the price of this backlit behemoth, it isn’t actually available here yet, only just having been launched in South Korea.

No hard and fast pricing or international release details have been revealed thus far, although a figure of five grand has been mentioned in rumours, along with a date of Q2 in 2011 for its global launch.
