After a new TV? If it’s a smaller panel you’re considering, then you could do worse than to check out Kogan, the electronics retailer which has just expanded to cover the UK.

Ruslan Kogan founded his self-named brand over in Australia, and it specialises in televisions, GPS devices, and other home appliances.

The site pledges to end “rip-off Britain” prices by selling direct to customers, cutting out all the middlemen. Kogan states: “As of today we’re launching an initial range in the UK, bringing the same amazing value to the UK that over 100,000 Australian shoppers have loved. Over the past five years we’ve had countless emails from the UK asking if Kogan products can be shipped here. Now we’re here!”

The initial range encompasses LED TVs and GPS products. The TVs start at a 19 inch LED set with PVR and digital tuner, which costs £129. This steps up to a 22 inch model at £169, a 24 inch at £189, and a bigger price leap for the 26 inch HD TV which is £289.

All of these prices include free shipping, although your order won’t be shipped until December 8th.

Kogan is also sticking some TV sets up on eBay today, starting at 3pm, with an initial price of a penny and no reserve.
