Palm’s Rubinstein announces webOS plans

The CEO of Palm, Jon Rubinstein, has been talking about the company’s webOS plans for the future.

While the Pre 2 smartphone with webOS 2.0 appears to be floundering in the UK after its release, with no network operators coming forward to stock the device, Palm remains undeterred and confident in future devices.

All Things Digital reports that at the Web 2.0 summit, Rubinstein said that the company has some “great products” in the pipeline. One of these is a “great tablet” – everything is definitely great – although this was rumoured earlier in the year, back in August. It should be out at some stage in 2011.

Apparently there are quality smartphones on the way, too, which will hopefully fare better than the Pre 2 seems to be doing.
