Call of Duty: Black Ops holds number one spot

Call of Duty: Black Ops has unsurprisingly remained at number one in the UK video game chart, as compiled by Chart Track.

However, despite recording better numbers than Modern Warfare 2 for its launch week, Black Ops has dropped by 85% in terms of sales.

That wasn’t enough to allow it to be overtaken by Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, which was the highest new entry at number two. However, the game was only 63,000 units shy of Black Ops.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit was another big name release this week, and EA’s driving effort came in at number three. FIFA 11 has slid to number four, and Just Dance 2 is now at number five.

Wii Party finds itself back up to number six, and Wii Sports Resorts is at number seven, aided by retailer promotions. Kinect Sports fell considerably down the chart to number nine.

EA’s Harry Potter: The Deathly Hallows – Part 1 only managed to enter the chart at number twenty.

  1. i bought black ops [360] (i live in the u.s, not in england, and i’m proud i did. already clocked ~2 days of playtime on it. ~70% multiplayer, 20% zombies, and 10% veteran singleplayer. i’m currently on the rooftops of the akimbo weapon achievement level. i forget the name =.=
my friend brought over AC:Bh a few days ago so i could try it out. it took ~30min to finish the updates, downloads, installations, w/e (this, on the ps3) and we tried searching for a game for ~20min. it filled to 6/6 and 7/7 of the w/e agent thingies, but couldn’t find a game. so we gave up, and proceeded to play black ops in split-screen :)
i love ubisoft, but AC Bh was harder to load than Killzone 2 >.<
