Orange unveils iPad contract details

Orange has unveiled the full details of its subsidised iPad contracts.

The basic 3G 16GB iPad will cost £199 on a two year deal, as we already knew, but if you want 32GB of storage, that’s upped to £249, and for the 64GB slate you’re looking at £299.

Of course, these aren’t exactly bargain deals seeing as on top of the up front cost, you’ll be paying a monthly fee which starts at £27 for normal punters, and £25 for those who are already customers with Orange.

In other words, as an existing Orange customer, for the basic iPad you’re looking at £799 as the total cost over two years, instead of £529 sim-free.

But obviously you are getting your data plan with that, which is 1GB of data per month, and another 1GB of data for use between midnight and 4pm, which is Orange’s “quiet time”. Oh, and unlimited BT OpenZone wi-fi access (subject to fair usage).

For those who are tempted, you can register your interest at the Orange site now.
