Namco Bandai has announced that Dr Kawashima’s Body and Brain Exercises will be coming for Kinect on the Xbox 360 next February.
February 11th to be precise, and the game will be an Xbox exclusive, well, a purple-boxed Kinect exclusive actually, as it will require the motion controller.
Body and Brain Exercises will feature over twenty different activities designed to stimulate both the mind and body, in what Namco Bandai calls the “most cerebral and energetic party game ever from the originators of the video game brain training craze.”
Players of all ages will be able to partake, with up to four facing off against each other in multiplayer, being required to both think and move fast as they solve maths, logic and memory problems, as well as reflex based and physical tasks.
Games that we’ve previously heard about include some sort of version of Pac-Man, a football game where the ball must be booted at the goal containing the correct answer to a sum, and a manic bout of balloon popping.
Given that Dr Kawashima on the DS is the second biggest selling video game in the UK ever (behind Modern Warfare 2), could this be the title which sparks a fresh influx of casual gamers to purchase an Xbox and Kinect bundle?
Thus far, Kinect is on course to hit Microsoft’s target of 5 million units sold before the end of the year, having shifted 2.5 million units in less than a month since launch.
