Google Nexus S tariffs at Carphone Warehouse

The Nexus S is out on December 20th, only a week and a half away now, and Carphone Warehouse is selling it exclusively for a sim-free price of £550.

That’s quite a whack, although the company is also offering a range of tariffs from networks too, to avoid that heavy up front fee.

Deals start at £35 per month on a two year contract, with the handset free. For that money, Orange is offering 600 minutes, unlimited texts, and 750MB of data (or alternatively, 700 minutes and 500MB data).

For the same price, Vodafone is flogging a 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of mobile data deal.

T-Mobile is offering a chunkier £35 per month package, although it requires the customer to stump up £49 for the handset itself, rather than coming free. The benefit is that you get 1200 minutes, 500 texts and unlimited Internet (subject to fair usage, of course).

The Nexus S comes with a 4 inch super-AMOLED display, a 5 megapixel camera (and front-facing camera for video chatting), along with a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, 16GB of memory, assisted GPS, bluetooth, wi-fi and 3G. It will also be running Gingerbread, Android 2.3.
