Apple has announced that sales of its Apple TV will crest the one million mark before the end of this week.
The set top box is more compact than its predecessor, being just a four inch square device, and it’s not overly wallet stinging at £99.
Apple notes that iTunes users are now renting and buying over 400,000 TV episodes and 150,000 movies every day, with those new Apple TV boxes presumably helping to contribute to this figure considerably. Exactly in what quantity, Apple doesn’t state.
Apple also recently introduced Airplay with iOS 4.2, which allows users to wirelessly stream videos or photos from their iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch to the Apple TV Box, and vice versa. A free app can also turn your iGadget into a remote for the set top box.
