Acer Liquid Mini pops up at CES

by Darren Allan

Acer has taken the wraps off the Liquid Mini handset at CES.

As the name suggests, the Liquid Mini is manufactured from melted cars. No, of course not, the Mini part of the name refers to the handset’s compact nature, with the device measuring around 11cm by 6cm.

Spec-wise, according to the Register Hardware, it comes replete with a 3.2 inch display, 600MHz processor, 5 megapixel camera, GPS, wi-fi and 3G, so nothing to get too excited about.

Social network integration, pretty much a given on any consumer oriented phone these days, is included with Facebook and Twitter apps built-in. Android 2.2 is on board as the OS.

The phone boasts what Acer calls a stylish design of subtle curves, and will be available in a selection of colours including black, silver and pink.

Release is expected in April of this year, although pricing is as yet an unknown quantity. We’ll tell you more as soon as we hear it.
