Samsung Smart TV shown off

Samsung has been showing off its new Smart TV features over at CES in Las Vegas, with a large range of live on-demand content being added into the mix.

The new Smart Hub system sees user photos, music and video sections being amalgamated into one hub, along with direct links to third party content providers such as Blockbuster, Hulu, Netflix, Pandora, Time Warner Cable and more.

A new universal search feature will sift through all online content, the aforementioned services, YouTube and so forth, as well as your own video library hunting for search terms, according to a video posted up by PC World. It all looks pretty slick.

The system will also make viewing recommendations, hopefully pushing forward programmes you might enjoy to the fore. This will all be coming to Samsung sets in 2011.
