EA has remained on top of the UK all-format game chart for the start of 2011, with footballing franchise FIFA.
According to Chart Track, FIFA 11’s sales might have halved since last week, but it did enough to avoid being dislodged. It has now spent four weeks at number one in total (two weeks in a row is its current run).
Black Ops fell from number two to three, with Just Dance 2 moving up to number two, underlining the popularity of Ubisoft’s dancing franchise.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is now at number four, with Wii Fit Plus making a predictable stomp up the chart to number five (what with everyone rushing out to buy fitness games and DVDs for new year’s resolutions).
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood falls to number six, followed by Gran Turismo 5, and then Fallout: New Vegas. The Sims 3 is at number nine, with Kinect Sports still selling and clinging on to the top ten.
There were no new entries at all this week, with January looking pretty quiet on the gaming front, although there’s always Dead Space 2 to look forward to later this month. DC Universe Online also launches tomorrow, for massively multiplayer fans.
