Sapphire have recently announced the up coming production of Intel-based motherboards designed for the high end sector. The first examples given for the motherboards were the Sapphire pure black P67 Hydra, and the Sapphire pure black X58.

Sapphire has stated “Designed to appeal to the enthusiast, the first product will be a fully features X58 board to be known as the Sapphire pure black x58, supporting the Intel core i7 series of processors”

As well as the X58 chip set, the pure black X58 incorporates features such as on-based USB3.0, SATA ll with SATA ll ports, 3 Gen2 and one Gen1 PCI-express expansion slots, and 6 dual channel DDR3 memory slots.

The Sapphire pure black p67 Hydra is a similar model to the X58, however it uses the P67 chipset along with the Lucid Hydra chip for more flexibility with graphics.

No release date or price have been confirmed for either of the mother boards as of yet.
