Notion Ink Adam tablet due in UK soon

by Darren Allan

The Notion Ink Adam tablet should be ready to head to the UK and US soon, and is already shipping in other parts of the world.

The delay in coming to European and American shores is due to the company waiting for CE and FCC approvals, CEO Rohan Shravan posted on the Notion Ink blog.

The tablet was supposed to be out at the end of last year, and includes some pretty impressive technical specifications, such as an Nvidia Tegra 2 1GHz dual core processor, and a 10 inch Pixel Qi display which can be read outside under bright sunlight.

Adam comes with wi-fi, 3G, an HDMI port and a 3 megapixel camera with a macro mode which can take some decent snaps, if the sample pics on the blog are anything to go by.

The device is Android powered, and Notion Ink is promising that when Honeycomb (Android 3.0) is made available, updates will be provided as soon as possible.

  1. If you haven’t seen or heard anything about the ADAM, you HAVE to check it out. It’s simply amazing! It’s specs knock the socks off EVERY other tablet being proposed including the Motorola Xoom, Apple Ipad, Toshiba “whatever-its-name-is-going-to-be”.

Anyone who doesn’t at least consider purchasing an Adam prior to buying a tablet, is setting themselves up for disappointment.
