Google has removed its Kongregate arcade games app from the Android market after only one day.

Kongregate has confirmed that the reason for the removal was due to breaking Google’s terms and conditions.

Kongregate is a large flash gaming portal and is owned by GameSpot. It offers over 13 million online games, a percentage of which were being offered through Kongregate arcade.

Google has stated that the game was illicitly installing applications.

Rumours are saying Google saw Kongregate as a rival app store that was operating through Androids system.

In reality, Korgregate arcade apparently does not actually install anything, it simply plays flash games via the Android web browser.

The games played are then cached for faster loading the next time they are played through Kongregate arcade.

Kongragate’s CEO Jim Greer disagrees with Google’s decision and he has pointed out that by the same definition, the Kindle app would also be breaking the clause.
