Gearbox has announced that the new Duke Nukem game, ‘Duke Nukem Forever’ will be released in the US on may the 3rd, and a world wide release date is set for may the 6th.

The popular video game about a foul mouthed, women loving, alien hunter, first appeared on the PC in 1991.

However, since 2002 when ‘Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project’ was released, there has been little sign of a new game until recently.

2K games, developer of Duke Nukem Forever said, “Duke’s return is going to be epic and one that will make gaming history.”

They also went on to describe the game plot as “Uber-macho.”

A demo for the game is expected to be released in months prior to the official launch.

A statement describing the game said the following, “Duke brings his signature brand of babe lovin’, cigar smoking, beer chugging, and ass kicking action as he saves the Earth and its babes from hordes of invading Aliens. Shoot hoops, lift weights, read adult magazines, draw crude messages on whiteboards or ogle the many hot women that occupy Duke’s life. This is Duke’s legend.”

Duke Nukem Forever will be available for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, and the PS3.

An official trailer has been released by Gearbox and can be watched on Youtube.
