Good news for those of you who have been waiting to get on board with Dell and Microsoft’s new mobile OS.
The Dell Venue Pro is apparently due to be shipping in four days time, according to online retailer eXpansys.
That’s an estimated date, mind you, but by the sounds of it if the handset doesn’t ship on Wednesday, hopefully it will by the end of the week. If you want to bag yourself a Venue Pro, then it’ll set you back £440 sim-free.
The smartphone was amongst the launch devices running Windows Phone 7, and has taken a while to arrive. It’s a business targeted handset, and a portrait slider with a full Qwerty keyboard.
Other tech specs include a 4.1 inch AMOLED display, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, a 1GHz processor, 8GB of memory, 3G and wi-fi, along with durable and scratch resistant “gorilla glass”.
eXpansys notes that the downsides of the phone are that it’s rather large – but then it has a pretty sizeable display – and also the small amount of memory, which we wouldn’t argue with.
