LG Optimus 2X priced at £470, dated March 18th

It would seem the LG Optimus 2X dual-core Android smartphone will likely be out on March 18th, as we’d previously anticipated.

Online retailer eXpansys listed this as the projected release date last week, and Play.com has now also listed the handset with the same date.

Although at eXpansys, the 2X is priced up at £500 sim-free, the recommended retail. Play.com has knocked that down to £470 (including delivery in both cases).

The LG Optimus 2X comes with an Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core 1GHz processor, 4 inch WVGA display, an 8 megapixel camera along with a 1.3 megapixel front-facer for video chats, and 8GB of memory (which can be bumped up via microSD).

It’s likely that a white version of the 2X will follow in April, as it’s about to be launched in Korea (where the standard phone in black is already out).
