The new Angry Birds game, Angry Birds RIO, will be a tie in game to the upcoming animated Hollywood film, RIO.
The announcement was recently made by the creators of the popular Smart phone game, Rovio.
RIO is a movie created by the creators of Ice age, about a domesticated macaw called Blu. In the film Blu is forced into the wild after being kidnapped in Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil.
The Angry Birds RIO game is similar to the original game. However instead of attacking little, green, egg stealing pigs, the birds attempt to rescue Blu and his friend Jewel from their captors, as well as rescuing other captured birds.
The game will have 45 levels, with downloadable stages available in future updates.
The Angry Birds game was downloaded over 50 million times in 2010, on various Smart phones.
Along with the movie tie in, Angry Birds is rumoured to have its own TV show, set to arrive on screen later this year.
RIO is due to be released onto the big screen on the 15th of April, with Angry Birds RIO launching the month before.
