Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc coming to 3 and Vodafone

The Gingerbread touting Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc has already been confirmed as being part of O2‘s upcoming line-up, and now 3 and Vodafone have announced plans to stock the handset.

O2 made its announcement at the start of the week, with a release date of April slapped up on its website.

3 also said it would be ranging the mobile from April. Sylvia Chind, Head of Branded Devices at the network, commented: “The Sony Ericsson Arc is a great addition to 3’s range of smartphones. The HD Video recording capability is particularly impressive with its Exmor R sensor and other multimedia features, such as a face detection feature.”

Vodafone joined 3 in announcing the Xperia Arc is on its way, although the company didn’t actually give a date. With both O2 and 3 marking April as the month for launch, we can assume this is a pretty fair bet.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc comes with a Bravia engine powered 4.2 inch touchscreen. The smartphone has a 1GHz processor, an 8 megapixel camera, and a thin profile of less than 1cm.
